About Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar
The professionals of Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar connect partners and help employers in both the public and private sectors, freight transport companies, urban distribution, construction logistics, service companies and interest groups get started with sustainable mobility in a very targeted way and often free of charge.
Working together on smart, safe and sustainable mobility
We are committed to changing behavior: less in the car, more on the bike or in public transport, more shared mobility and more effective, environmentally friendly car use in combination with P+R. All our actions are aimed at a healthy living and working environment.
The program office was established in 2010 to ensure less car mobility, especially among commuters. Large infrastructure projects, such as the new traffic system with a two-layer tunnel for A2 Maastricht and a new route for the Noorderbrug, were the reason. Meanwhile, the implementation program focuses not only on accessibility and traffic flow, but also on sustainable mobility.
Funding
The Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar programme office is a joint venture between the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Limburg, and the 16 South Limburg municipalities. All governments contribute to the funding of the 2023 Implementation Program.
