About Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar connects partners and uses targeted support to help employers to offer more sustainable mobility. To create a healthy living, working, and residential environment in South Limburg, we organize various campaigns and offer products and services to help you travel and work smart. The programme office was founded in 2010 with the aim of reducing car use, particularly among commuters, in response to large infrastructural projects such as the new traffic system with a two-storey tunnel for A2 Maastricht and a new route for the Noorderbrug bridge. The implementation programme now includes sustainable mobility alongside its original focus areas of accessibility and traffic flows. In this way, we’re helping to improve liveability and ensure healthier living and working conditions. The programme office’s activities are financed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Limburg, the Municipality of Maastricht, and fifty large employers in South Limburg.
Funding
The Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar programme office is a joint venture between the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Limburg, and the South Limburg municipalities. The programme is partly funded by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province, and the Municipality of Maastricht.
