Bases for processing your personal data
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar processes your personal data according to one or more of the following legal bases:
- The performance of an agreement;
- Your consent;
- Compliance with a legal obligation;
- A legitimate interest of Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar.
In the majority of cases, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar processes your personal data according to the first and second aforementioned bases. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will not be able to perform its activities or services without processing the aforementioned personal data.
We may also process your personal data because it has a legitimate interest in doing so. This is the case, for example, when we use personal data, which we receive from you when you participate in or purchase a product or service, for direct marketing. This could be an e-mail that you receive from us with content that we think is relevant to you. You can object to this at any time by contacting us.
In some situations, we will first ask you for your consent to process your personal data. We do this, for example, when we want to place certain cookies on your computer to track your surfing behaviour (see also our cookie policy). Or when you participate in our questionnaires/surveys. Another example is when you want to subscribe to our newsletter. We will also ask for your consent if we want to send you a more relevant newsletter based on the interests you have specified. We will then send you a personalized newsletter that matches your interests as closely as possible. You are never obliged to give consent.
If you have given your consent for Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar to process your personal data for certain purposes, you can withdraw or change this consent at any time in the same way as you provided it. If, for example, you no longer wish to receive the newsletter? Than you can withdraw your previous consent at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link included in every e-mail.
If you participate in our questionnaires/surveys, you can later withdraw your consent by sending an e-mail about it to: info@zuid-limburg-bereikbaar.nl.
After revocation, we will no longer process your personal data, unless required by law. Please note that data processing carried out before the withdrawal of your consent remains valid.
Are we building a profile on you?
If you subscribe to our newsletter*, we may ask you to tell us about your interests, so that we can build a profile on you. The purpose of this is to get to know you better and send content that is better tailored to you personally. Telling us about your interests helps us to do this and allows us to provide you with the most relevant information possible. Whether or not you tell us your interests is entirely voluntary – you are at no time obliged to do so. Not telling us your interests does not have any negative consequences for you. You will continue to receive our regular newsletter, but it will not be tailored to your interests. Should you wish to tell us your interests at a later date, you can do so via the link in the newsletter. If you have chosen to share your interests with us, you can change or delete these interests at any time via a link in the newsletter.
*Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar’s newsletters are only available in Dutch.
How is your personal data kept secure?
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against any unauthorized or unlawful processing, loss, destruction, damage, amendment, or publication. If you have any questions about the security of your personal data, or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us.
Sharing personal data
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar processes your personal data with the help of external service providers, if necessary. If this occurs, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will enter into an agreement with the external service provider under which, contractually, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar receives the guarantee that your personal data will be handled and secured with due care.
Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold or disclosed to third parties without a legal basis. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar may in certain cases be required by law to disclose personal data. Should this occur, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will, of course, comply with this legal obligation and with the requirements arising from the GDPR and other applicable legislation and regulations.
Retaining and erasing personal data
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will erase your personal data if the data is no longer required for our services. If you request that your personal data be erased, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will, in principle, destroy your data. If the destruction of your personal data has consequences for Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar Programme Office’s service provision, we will inform you of this prior to destroying your data.
Rights under the GDPR
If Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar is to be designated as the data controller for the processing of your personal data, you can send a request to Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar to view, rectify, erase, or exercise your right to the portability of the personal data that is being processed. Click behaviour and cookies
Click behaviour and cookies on the website
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar uses Google Analytics to collect anonymized data on visitors’ surfing behaviour. This allows us to see how visitors like you use the website and improve the website on that basis. We use cookies to do this. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar can collect and analyse information about the use of this website, including the domain name, the number of hits, the pages visited, previous and subsequent websites visited, and the duration of the user session. The aim of this is to optimize the design of the website, so that Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar can continuously improve its services. Part of your IP address remains anonymous to us, so we cannot trace the data back to a person or personal data. We do not share our website statistics with Google. You can also disable cookies yourself or delete cookies already installed in your browser. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar cannot guarantee that the website will work properly without cookies. Some website functions could be lost, or you might not be able to view some parts at all.
Click behaviour in newsletters
Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar collects anonymized data on the use of the newsletters by its subscribers. We have a legitimate interest in doing this because we want to send our subscribers newsletters that work properly from a technical point of view and are as interesting as possible in terms of their content. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we will therefore keep track of your opening and clicking behaviour within the newsletter in an anonymous form. We do this exclusively for our own statistical purposes. This information is made visible to us in the form of percentages and averages. From this anonymized information, we can determine whether we should improve the functionality of the newsletter, how many subscribers read our newsletter, which news items are popular with our subscribers, and whether we can possibly send more interesting content. This data cannot be traced back to specific subscribers. As a result, we do not look specifically at what you find interesting in our newsletter and will not send you personalized content based on this information. This is only general information about our newsletters.
As soon as you visit our website via our newsletter, our cookie policy (see above) once again applies.
At the bottom of each newsletter, you will find a link to unsubscribe at any time.
*Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar’s newsletters are only available in Dutch.
