Accessible, sustainable, and dynamic South Limburg

We work together to improve access to and within the city, we help people to drive more economically, and we promote sustainable mobility in order to improve the environment, quality of life, and work climate in the region. That’s our ambition. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar connects partners and uses targeted support to help employers and logistics companies to offer more sustainable mobility. We work together with entrepreneurs and businesses (inside and outside the city), authorities, interest groups, mobility providers, and knowledge institutes. We make analyses, put together a set of targeted measures, and work on changing behaviour according to a tried and tested ten-step plan. Employer approach

Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar’s Employer Approach (Werkgeversaanpak) maps the travel behaviour of our affiliated partners’ employees and advises employers on the sustainability improvements they could take. We put together a set of targeted measures and help you to implement them.

Logistics approach

We help business owners and interest groups find logistics solutions that make transport, storage, and distribution more efficient. This is also how we're taking concrete steps toward our ambition of creating a zero-emissions city.

Area-based approach

Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar works together with many different partners to keep the region and its cities accessible. Mobility measures are not only good for avoiding congestion, they also reduce CO2 emissions and help create an attractive, healthy living environment.

Educational Approach to Mobility

Educational institutions, transport companies, municipalities and the Province of Limburg are joining forces to improve sustainable mobility for students and educational staff. Sustainable means smarter, safer, cleaner, more comfortable, and future-proof.

Business approach to logistic loading infrastructure

Companies are working hard to become more sustainable, and the transition to electric transport is an important part of this. This requires a well organised charging infrastructure.

Tackling disruptions

Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar works together with road authorities for national, provincial, and municipal roads, contractors, and other stakeholders to reduce disruptions caused by road works and peak visitor days.

Maastricht Energy Agreement

The Maastrichts Energie Akkoord (Maastricht Energy Agreement, MEA) lists specific, sustainable activities and agreements between the Municipality of Maastricht and local companies. All agreements were made with the intent to reduce energy consumption, decrease CO2 emissions, and generate more sustainable energy.

Joining forces

The Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar Programme Office works with governments and organizations on themes concerning Mobility and Logistics. We believe that sustainable solutions can be identified and ramped up more quickly through intensive collaboration.
