Mobility as a Service (MaaS): MaaS pilot in Limburg
Via-GO: one app for all journeys in Limburg
Would you like to select, plan, book, and pay for your entire journey via a single app, even if you plan to cross borders? Well, from 2020 you can – with Arriva’s Via-GO app. In addition to ease of use, the app offers travellers information on different means of transport, so you can travel quickly and easily from A to B. Examples include cars, shared cars, public transport, bicycles, shared bicycles, and taxis. These offer alternatives for travel by car, make travelling easier, and increase accessibility. The app offers travellers current, personalized travel advice and updates regarding delays, traffic, and alternative routes.
This pilot is an initiative of the Province of Limburg and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works. For the implementation of this project, the province is working with the Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar Programme Office. Travellers in Limburg can expect Via-GO to launch in early 2020. As Via-GO can be used for travel throughout the Netherlands, the app is also naturally available to the rest of the Netherlands. The Mobility as a Service (MaaS) pilot is planned to end in late 2021.
