Working together on smart mobility

The so-called middle municipalities Beekdaelen, Eijsden-Margraten, Gulpen-Wittem, Meerssen, Simpelveld, Stein, Vaals, Valkenburg aan de Geul and Voerendaal have submitted a request at the end of 2019 to join Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar. The Steering Committee has embraced this. In the year 2020, the middle municipalities will discuss among themselves who will participate in the Steering Committee on their behalf. Subsequently, an assessment is  made of what is going on in their municipalities in terms of accessibility and sustainable mobility and which activities are then required for the annual plan for 2021.

The municipalities of Maastricht, Sittard-Geleen and Heerlen are members of the Steering Committee and are also affiliated with Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar as an employer. The general policy for the program office is outlined in the Steering Committee. As an employer, actions are set out to, among other things, make your own employees travel more sustainably.
